Don't Call Her Crafty

When this knitter was teaching herself how to knit, she became so sick of finding lame patterns instead of hip, modern ones that she started making her own - including a cozy for her vibrator! Crochet Gets Some Love

This doesn't necessarily qualify as knit porn since it's crochet and isn't likely to arouse anyone, but Ming Yi Sung's incredible creations deserve attention. Most recently, the Nevin Kelly Gallery in Washington D.C. exhibited some of her works alongside a documentary entitled Private Parts, Public Space. The film focused on the controversy her crocheted sculptures created when they were shown as part of the "Not the Knitting You Know" exhibit in the U.S. Capital. The primary tenant in the building they were exhibited in demanded they be removed from the public art space, but Ming found a better solution - she crocheted fig leaves to cover the genitalia of the offending figures. Here are some (uncensored) pics from that exhibit as well other works from this talented painter, sculpter, and fiber artist.

When I first saw this photo, I was tempted to buy the Ralph Lauren scarf that graces this sexy model's neck, but it wasn't for sale! The knit boxers were, but I can't use those and at $19.50, I had a sinking suspicion he didn't come with them.

It took us a minute to figure out what we were supposed to be looking at in this pic we received, but then we realized - it's the gorgeous red armwarmers!

Who Says Underwear Goes Under Clothes?

Not Christina Aguilera, and not this knitter, either!

Want to make it yourself? The sexy knitter created this without a pattern, but here are her instructions for creating your own:
1. Knit a triangle of appropriate size.
2. On the top of the triangle, knit a ribbon that ends at the back of your neck.
3. Knit a second triangle and its ribbon.
4. Connect the ends of ribbons.
5. Knit a ribbon to connect the inner corners of the two triangles.
6. Knit two ribbons and connect them to the outer corners of each triangle (you will tie these together when you put the bra on).
7. Crochet the inner edge of the bra, trying it on after completing each row/circle until it fits!

The First Time

Everyone has to start somewhere, and for Figleaf, that meant creating a silk cable-knit sweater. Impressive, considering even scarves can be a challenge for beginning knitters (myself included). We can't wait to see what he knits up next!

One word of warning though...silk is much heavier and stretchier than wool...

Knitting is Sexy

Just think about it. Try explaining to someone how to knit. "First, you have to put the yarn through the middle of the needles, then wrap it around and push (or pull) it through. To cable, insert your needle through one of the stitches..." I think you get the point. Essentially, there's a lot of pushing and inserting, and if you've ever done a k2tog, a lot of thrusting as well.

So, I thought, on my way home tonight, why not make a blog devoted to sex and knitting? "Inspired" by a photo in the latest Knit.1 (see above), I thought, it would be sexy to share hot photos and experiences (all knit-related) with the world.

Guidelines

I encourage all of you to submit photos for the site. If you'd like to, here are the guidelines.

1. Make the photo sexy.

2. All pics should be related to knitting in some way. I don't care if you're alone and just showing off your cute legwarmers in a sexy way, or surrounded by tons of half-naked men or women wearing knit gloves, or you holding a size 19 needle in your teeth...as long as it connects to the theme of knit porn.

3. Be creative. Use half-knit projects, needles, skeins, etc. in your pics.

4. Sometimes, the suggestion of nudity is sexier. If you don't want to get nude or show off the naughty bits - that's totally ok!

5. You must be over 18 to submit.

6. Though I would love to, I cannot pay submitters for their photos at the moment, though I will give you photo credit if you would like me to.
